The Big 33 rosters have been released and six UT recruits will play in the annual Ohio vs. Pennsylvania affair on June 16. They are, from Ohio: receiver Armani Miller, safety Travis Nees, offensive lineman James Henry, and receiver Matt Eckhardt; and from Pennsylvania: receiver Corey Jones and defensive lineman Treyvon Martin.
Five of the six signed with UT in February. The exception is Eckhardt, a preferred walk-on from Avon. From what I've gathered he was a highly productive member on a state championship team, catching 75 passes for 1,389 yards and 20 touchdowns. He chose UT over, what I'd guess were walk-on opportunities, at Ohio and Northwestern. Eckhardt was a 4.0 student.
Also, I spoke with UT recruits Miller, Mike Ebert, and Jody Webb last weekend at the state track and field meet. More on this Wednesday in The Blade.
In other UT news, former Rockets running back Adonis Thomas is making a good impression at Browns camp.
