-Owens and Dantin are still splitting first-team reps, with Owens still getting the bulk of them from what I can see. Coach Campbell said both of them played well in Friday's closed scrimmage.
-Cheatham Norrils, listed No. 2 on the depth chart at strong safety, actually began the spring at cornerback. Then he moved to safety. Now he's flipping back and forth. His athleticism allows him to play both positions. My guess? He ends up at cornerback where there's a scarcity of depth and proven players.
-Walk-on running backs Jamaal Jackson and Ricky Pringle got reps today with the second team offense, as did Cassius McDowell who is transitioning from receiver to running back. Beyond David Fluellen starting, I have no idea how this battle is going to shake out.
-Cornerback Jordan Haden suffered a minor undisclosed injury in Friday's scrimmage, and T.J. Fatinikun is practicing on and off for precautionary reasons. A two-time All-MAC performer, Fatinikun has little to prove in spring ball. Recovering from a seperated elbow that wiped out his junior season in October is the main priority.
-Campbell said senior safety Jermaine Robinson has had "an outstanding camp." And he said it like he meant it.

Beyond David Fluellen starting, I have no idea how this battle is going to shake out.
