In case the recent lane rearrangements on Main Street in East Toledo weren't enough to discourage Oregon commuters from using Main and Starr Avenue, now there's this.
A sewer collapse has closed Starr Avenue between East Broadway and White Street, the city transportation division announced.
Emergency repairs began Tuesday morning and are expected to be finished May 11.
Traffic is detoured via East Broadway, South Ravine Parkway, and Dearborn Avenue. The 6,000-pound load limits on the detour route are suspended.
Motorists who use Starr to travel between downtown Toledo and Oregon should also consider using Front Street and I-280 instead.
