Qwavaughan Maddox, police say, refused to leave his brother's home, punched a woman, and then killed her puppy.
Maddox, 21, of 327 Ira St., is charged with burglary and cruelty to animals. He is currently wanted by Toledo police.
According to a Toledo police report:
Maddox was visiting his brother, Carrae Maddox, on Cadillac Court, where Carrae, 23, lives with Donesha Hayes, 23, and their 2-year-old child.
The Maddox brothers apparently got into an arguement of some sort; Hayes told police she told Qwavaughan to leave the house, but the argument continued. Hayes ran into her child's room and the suspect followed and allegedly punched Hayes in the face, splitting her lip.
Police report that the suspect tore apart the house; Hayes threw "ATF transmission fluid" at the suspect. That's when he allegedly picked up a months-old puppy and slammed it repeatedly on the living room floor. The puppy died from its injuries.
The police report states that the puppy was slammed down so hard that "feces from the puppy [traveled] onto the walls and ceiling."
The suspect took the puppy and a cell phone and fled. The puppy was found in a field across from the victim's home.
Maddox is described by police as black, 150 pounds, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
