Rico Dorsey gets shot at a lot. So often, in fact, that I've started to keep track.
Monday night, the 27-year-old Toledo man was shot at again, this time at Inez Nash Park, which is on West Bancroft Street, near at Franklin Avenue.
According to a police incident report, Dorsey got into an unspecified argument with Rickey Harvey and Tarnel Smith at 9:45 p.m. Each suspect allegedly pulled out a gun and fired at Dorsey as he ran to his vehicle where a woman was nursing her 2-week-old child.
Bullets struck the vehicle while the woman and the infant were inside; no injuries were reported, police said.
Both Smith, 23, and Harvey, 22, were charged in Toledo Municipal Court with felonious assault. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, neither suspect had been arrested.
Dorsey was shot at on Aug. 17. The suspect, Dontravis Pressley, 39, who was charged with felonious assault, entered an Alford plea and was found guilty in Lucas County Common Pleas Court in January. He was sentenced to three years in prison.
Pressley told the court that Dorsey had hit him in the face and Pressley later fired shots at him to scare Dorsey away.
Dorsey was the intended victim on May 11, 2013, when, instead, his younger brother, Ramon Dorsey, was killed after being shot in the head.
Police allege that Patrick Harris fired the shot; Harris is scheduled for trial in July.
The elder Dorsey was also shot at on Jan. 9, 2013.
