It wasn't funny at the time one bit, but I like your 'twist' and humor to the story. One thing left out though. Before the shooting, he threw a chair on me while laying in bed then proceeded to jump on top of me and punch me in the head at least dozen times.

That's when I got phone out and told him I was calling police. Interesting to note also, he is 6'4" and 280lbs against my meager 5'7"/150lb frame. He left the room while I was on phone with police. Could hear him loading his gun and told 911 that. He then came back to the door way and pointed directly at me before pulling the trigger. ALL of this recorded on 911 tape!

Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, and yes I have since disowned him. Fully intend to press charges and appear at every single court date to make sure he gets the MAX! Oh ya, there was also bullet in the chamber besides one fired.

Oh ya, and the 'argument' was that my minor coughing was keeping him awake! He also terrified my 12yr old defenseless Chihuahua :(

Looks like you have an interesting pen pal who has a personal stake in the story.

I'm Taylor Dungjen, crime reporter for The Blade. I've been covering crime in the Glass City since March, 2011. Lots has happened around here since then and, I'm sure, there's more to come. But what you see in print or on our Web site, toledoblade.com, is only a fraction of what goes on and there's always more to the story. I'm inviting you on a ride along as I cover crime in and around Toledo. Check back often for strange news, shenanigans, behind-the-scenes information you won't get anywhere else, and ramblings on my life as a crime reporter for 'one of America's great newspapers.'
