Unhappy with the traffic citations he was issued, a Toledo man called 911 – a recorded line – and threatened to harm officers.
Stevan Smith, 24, of 535 Yondota, was stopped by an officer Aug. 10 and issued several traffic citations, according to court records.
After, on the same date, a call came in to 911 from a man claiming to be Smith.
The man told the call taker that “he was being harassed and he was going to find the officers who gave him tickets and [used language that is not appropriate for this somewhat family friendly blog],” according to court documents.
Smith was charged with menacing, and false use of the 911 system.
He was arraigned Tuesday in Toledo Municipal Court and ordered to be held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond, which was later posted.
