Man arrested for stealing car batteries

A Toledo man was ordered to be held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond for allegedly stealing batteries from semi trucks.

Todd White, Jr., 21, of 1938 W. Alexis, is charged with vandalism of property that is necessary for business and two counts of petty theft.

Police allege that White went to Precision Motor Transport, 5950 Brent Dr., on June 23 and Nov. 22, and stole batteries.

In one of three affidavits, police allege that White went to Precision Motor Transport and, while stealing batteries, damaged a battery box making the truck inoperable. From the two break-ins at the company, a total of 12 batteries, worth $1,281.98, according to court records.
