TAMPA - Much has been made of the matchup between South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney and Michigan's Taylor Lewan. Since, well, the Outback Bowl matchup was announced the first weekend of December. Fantasizing about the meeting of two likely NFL players was inevitable.
The two haven't expressed any outward animosity. In fact, they've been complimentary towards each other, though that might not be obvious when they meet Tuesday at Raymond James Stadium.
When told of Clowney's sentiments about his playing style, Lewan, Michigan's NFL-caliber tackle, had this to say:
"You see him, you tell him thank you," Lewan told a handful of media members around him.

A few more notes from the Tampa area ...
Found out yesterday that Clay graduate Jordan Kovacs digs roller coasters. He probably got a chance to take on the Cheetah Hunt at Tampa's Busch Gardens, where the Wolverines headed after Saturday's practice at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.
Hattricks Tavern in Tampa - great atmosphere, awful service. And as a former waitress, I'm a stickler for good restaurant service.
Another trip over the Sunshine Skyway (and to the north and south fishing piers) made for a good sunset.
