If you're a die-hard Michigan fan and don't like the idea of Ohio State ketchup (yes, it's sold at local grocery stores - I saw a display yesterday), then there's another option: Michigan Pop Tarts.
ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted Monday that Kellogg's will make specialty Pop Tarts for five different Division I schools, with the university's athletic logos on each Pop Tart: Michigan, Arkansas, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Expect the Pop Tarts to be on the shelves of the grocery store sometime next month.

From the "You can't wear that" department ...
A five-year-old at an Oklahoma elementary school wore a Michigan t-shirt to school and was told by administrators he had to turn the shirt inside-out, per the school district's dress code. News 9 in Oklahoma City reports that the Oklahoma City schools' dress code bans professional team apparel and clothing that features any college ... except Oklahoma, Oklahoma State or any college in the state of Oklahoma. (I wonder if there's an Oklahoma Panhandle State t-shirt that someone can lend this poor kid.)

And from the "were those guys high?" department ...
LostLettermen.com, a Web site that tracks former Division I football and basketball players, and promotes current college athletics news, this morning teased a story that will be released in November on ChatSports.com, which alleges that several players on the 2007 Michigan football team smoked pot in the hours before the Wolverines lost to FCS program Appalachian State - one of the more notable losses in Michigan football history.
An excerpt from the piece:
“The night before the game, everyone was smoking pot and having fun at the team hotel, no coaches were bothering us. The next day, (game day), one offensive player in particular was the ring leader and was messing around trying to convince all the other guys that we could beat these guys stoned and how crazy it would be to be all messed up and still ‘drop 50 on these fools’. For some reason, there was a ton of people who joined in. From what I saw and was told afterwards, 6 defensive starters and 3 offensive starters smoked up that morning. One guy in particular who I know did is the one who made the biggest error of the game and cost us a chance to win. I wonder why ...”
You know, they now make Michigan Pop Tarts ... #munchies
