The University of Michigan and ESPN announced today that ABC will televise Michigan's homecoming game Oct. 13 at 3:30 p.m. against Illinois at Michigan Stadium.
It's one of four Big Ten afternoon games that will be broadcast in 2012 on ABC, and one of four Michigan games that will be broadcast nationally, joining:
Michigan at Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 (NBC)
Michigan at Purdue, 4 p.m. Oct. 6 (Big Ten Network)
Michigan at Nebraska, 8 p.m. Oct. 27 (ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC).
Like college football?
Like Desmond Howard? (come on, Michigan fans, you know you do ...)
Like Erin Andrews? (come on, guys, admit you do ...)
ESPN's College GameDay announced this week that it plans to film an on-campus commercial to promo the network's weekly rite of college football. It's simple: the school with the most votes will get to host filming of the commercial.
Of note: the voting requires a Facebook login.
