Already I'm hungry and fixing for my caffeine.
My $23 challenge stared at 7 a.m., the usual time my four-year-old daughter wakes me up. With only $4.60 a day, I can't afford to brew my regular Bustelo express blend of coffee -- which I had started doing at home weeks ago to avoid the $1.89 tall coffee that I was buying everyday. That still happens some days, but not this week.
I'm already down to $19.51 since I had eaten a banana that was about 30 cents and I cracked open orange juice I paid $3.29 for yesterday. I think I can stretch the juice four more days and there are four more
bananas so breakfasts are covered all week.
