About the Project:
Ohio’s Community Action Agencies are organizing a Food Stamp Challenge April 30 through May 4 to give participants a view of what life can be like for people living on a limited income. During the challenge, participants agree to limit their total food purchases to the weekly budget of an average food stamp recipient — $23 for five days. Several Blade reporters and editors are participating and will be recording their thoughts and experiences here.
