BG football recruit 2013 – Ryan Hunter

Here's a thumbnail look at one of the high school players who is expected to sign with the Falcons Wednesday, offensive lineman Ryan Hunter.

HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6-5, 325

HOMETOWN/HIGH SCHOOL: Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius

BY THE NUMBERS: A two-year starter at Canisius, Hunter played right tackle on offense and nose guard on defense for the Crusaders. … Received the Trench Trophy, given annually to the top lineman in Western New York.

WORTH NOTING: Hunter is a native of North Bay, Ont., which is roughly five hours north of Buffalo. His native language is French – English is his second language. … An accomplished weightlifter, Hunter won the 105-kilograms and greater division of the Canadian Junior Weightlifting Championships in January of 2012.
