Rogers posted a double-double for the second-straight game, leading the Falcons to a 65-40 win over Dayton Sunday. Dayton entered the contest with a 12-0 record and was ranked No. 15 in the country.
The junior had game-high totals of 20 points, 10 rebounds and six steals against the Flyers, including 16 of BG's 28 points in the first half. She also made 11-of-13 free throws and played a role in the Falcon defense that held Dayton to just four second-half field goals and 40 points, which is more than 42 points under its season's average.
Last week Rogers had a double-double in the Falcons' lone game, a 64-61 victory over Massachusetts on Wednesday, Dec. 19. She finished with 18 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, one assist and two steals in the victory, and she went 8-for-9 at the free-throw line.
Rogers scored BG's final seven points and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the stripe in the final 28.5 seconds of the game, with the first two of those tosses giving the Falcons a one-point lead. Then, after BGSU held on the next defensive possession, Rogers grabbed a rebound, was fouled and made two more FTs with just 1.3 seconds left. She had 16 points and nine rebounds in the second half alone.
Rogers shared last week's MAC player-of-the-week honors for the East Division with Miami's Courtney Osborn.
Rogers now has been named MAC East Division player of the week twice this season and five times in her career.
