The native of Chaska, Minn., stepped in for injured senior Andrew Hammond and performed well as the Falcons split a home series with Ohio State this past weekend.
Burke stopped a career-high 27 shots in a 1-0 loss to the Buckeyes on Friday. Then on Saturday he made 21 saves against OSU to force a 3-3 tie and a shootout. In the shootout Burke stopped all four shots he faced to gave the Falcons a win and a split of the two-game series.
Burke currently ranks fourth in the CCHA with a 2.22 goals-against average and stands fifth in save percentage with a 91.3 percent mark.
The Falcons return to action this weekend with a home-and-home series with Michigan State. Friday's game at MSU will start at 5:05 p.m., while Saturday's game at the Ice Arena begins at 7:05 p.m.
