The dates for the NCAA hockey regional tournament games to be hosted by BG at the Huntington Center in Toledo were announced Friday. Two semifinal games will be played on Saturday, March 30, followed by a championship game on Sunday, March 31.
The Huntington Center, which is the home of the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye, has a capacity of 7,431 for hockey.
The West regional will be held at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich. and be hosted by the University of Michigan. The East regional will be held at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. and hosted by Brown University. The Northeast Regional will be held at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H. and hosted by the University of New Hampshire.
The West and Northeast regionals will be held Friday-Saturday, March 29-30, while the East Regional will join the Huntington Center in hosting games March 30-31.
The regional champions advance to the NCAA Frozen Four April 11 and 13 at The Consol Energy Center, home of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
