Instead of running an in-game blog, I'll be writing notes before and after the Falcons' game against Ohio at the Doyt Wednesday, as well as at halftime. This is a work in progress, so you're welcome to share comments, both good and bad, to make it the best it can be. Here we go ...
WEATHER: The current temperature at the Doyt is 43 degrees. It's clear, and there's no chance of rain in the forecast. The winds are from the WNW at 12 mph gusting to 16. The flags are moving normally, and the wind seems to be cutting from the southwest end zone to the northeast end zone. With the wind, the "wind chill" is at 36 degrees.
INJURIES: OL Kyle Bryant has injured his knee and will not play against Ohio (or against Buffalo to end the season). The Falcons will revert to the line they used early in the season, with Ben Bojicic at LT, Dominique Wharton at LG, Chip Robinson at C, Dominic Flewellyn at RG and Jordon Roussos at RT. ... Redshirt freshman CB DeVon McKoy will not dress for the game. True freshman Darrell Hunter remains the starter, with senior Adrien Spencer and sophomore Aunre Davis the potential back-ups.
TWO-DEEP CHANGES: Outside of the changes listed above, it looks as if the Falcons won't be making any other changes.
NOTES: The Falcons will be honoring 18 seniors before the game ... Zach Akenberger, Ben Bojicic, Eugene Cooper, Steve Dunlap, Winston Ethridge, Adrian Hodges, Ray Hutson, DeMark Jenkins, Justus Jones, Kamar Jorden, Jovan Leacock, Scott Lewis, Kevin Moore, Keith Morgan, Jerry Phillips, Jason Rice, Adrien Spencer and Mickey Wagner.
