The BG football team will host a program called “Get in the Game, Save a Life” on Thursday, April 28 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. inside the BGSU Student Union.
The program is aimed at boosting the ranks of potential marrow donors on the Be The Match Registry. Thousands of people with leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases depend on the Be The Match Registry to find a match -- an unrelated donor who can help give them a second chance at life.
The BGSU football team invites everyone to join them inside the Student Union. Potential donors, who must be between the ages of 18 and 60 years old, need to fill out a quick registration form and get a cotton swab of their mouths to determine their tissue type.
