An analysis of the members of the BG men's basketball team, looking at junior center Torian Oglesby.
BY THE NUMBERS: Oglesby averaged 4.0 points per game, shooting 55.6 percent from the field. He also averaged 3.5 rebounds per game (in an average of 15.9 minutes per game). He finished with 21 blocks, second-most on the team, but his average of 0.78 blocks per game was tops on the team and ranked 14th-best in the MAC.
WORTH NOTING: Oglesby seemed to appear out of nowhere, jumping from four DNPs to start the season to a starter’s role by the time the MAC schedule rolled around. His best game of the year was an impressive performance at home against Ohio when posted a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.
SUMMER TO-DO_LIST: Oglesby needs to focus on defense and rebounding, both areas where an already solid player could get better. Adding a few low-post moves might make him a more viable option on offense and also add to his value.
