We cannot move forward into the off-season until we look back and analyze the season that just ended, so here we go: On Monday we asked about the offense, so let’s turn to the pitching today. Where among the 14 International League teams did the Mud Hens finish in ERA?
The answer to Monday’s question? In 2012 the Mud Hens finished next-to-last in the International League in batting average with a .249 mark, but they were not in that position in runs scored (and isn’t that what offense is all about?). So where did Toledo finish in the 14-team IL in runs scored in 2012? Surprisingly, the Hens finished eighth with 606 runs scored.
Do you think you know the answer to today’s question? At the bottom of this page give us your answer in the "Post a comment" box! I'll do my best to answer as quickly as possible, and I’ll post the answer tomorrow along with another trivia question. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Twelfth

That's close enough that I will give it to you, Pepper! The answer is eleventh ... remember, that's out of 14 teams.
Now, it was a pitching-strong league this year. But still ...
OK, a follow up: what was Toledo's team ERA this season? Give a guess and we'll zero in on the correct answer.

Good guesses, gentlemen. Just a touch high. The mark was 4.17 for the team.
New question posted! Thanks for playing ...
