We cannot move forward into the off-season until we look back and analyze the season that just ended, so here we go: In 2012 the Mud Hens finished next-to-last in the International League in batting average with a .249 mark, but they were not in that position in runs scored (and isn’t that what offense is all about?). So where did Toledo finish in the 14-team IL in runs scored in 2012?
The answer to Aug. 24 question? From Aug. 1 on Mud Hens DH John Lindsey hit .271 with seven home runs and 22 RBIs in just 32 games. Where did the home run and RBI totals among International League players? In other words, how many IL players have more home runs this month, and how many have more RBIs than Lindsey? The answer is: Not many. Only three players had more home runs, and just a pair had more RBIs than Lindsey in the final month of the season.
Do you think you know the answer to today’s question? At the bottom of this page give us your answer in the "Post a comment" box! I'll do my best to answer as quickly as possible, and I’ll post the answer tomorrow along with another trivia question. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I'm going to guess 10th out of the 14 teams.

My guess is basically having the four other teams that didn't win 70 games finished behind the Hens.

Phil: Your guess makes perfect sense to me. So of course, it's wrong.
Pepper has the right idea. Care to put a number on it?
