Phil

Iorg and Inge immediately come to mind.

John_Wagner

Here's a hint ... You should put first names on this answer. You would have more than two.

Steve

There was a Dane Iorg who played in the 80's for the Cardinals. Don't know if he is one

John_Wagner

Steve: Dane indeed is one. So is his nephew ... so let's put first names on these, OK?

John Malkoski

Brandon Inge, Cale Iorg, Dane Iorg...
are we talking Fifth Third Field era only? Jesse Ibarra played at The Ned.

John_Wagner

I was thinking all-time, John, but I would guess that Ed Ignasiak (1944-45) and Clarence Iott (1946) would be tough.

So you've given us four more, John (nice job on Ibarra, BTW).

There are TWO I am looking to get at this point. Neither is impossible. Give me your guesses, and if we don't get them I post a clue later today. Good luck!

John_Wagner

Hint #1: Was a former football player at Georgia Tech.

Hint #2: Later became a Cleveland Indians coach.

Pepper Leach

It's easy to forget Jesse Ibarra and his one dismal season in 1998.

Phil

Did Pete Incavilia ever have an injury rehab assignment when he had a cup of tea with the Tigers in the 90s?

John_Wagner

Phil: No, he did not. I can see you are working at it, though!

Pepper: Jesse who?

Everyone: Any guesses on the two hints above?

John Malkoski

Bruce Ifields?

John_Wagner

Sorry, John, No. Not a current Indians coach, if that helps.

Bruce Ifields?

John_Wagner

OK, let's try to clear the books here before the weekend hits ...

Hint #1: Former FB player at Georgia Tech who now is the hitting coach in Rochester.

Hint #2: Later became Cleveland Indians BULLPEN coach.

Have at it!
