At the OctoBOOfest fall festival in downtown Perrysburg, I thought there was something really cool to help bring some fall fun to town.
A pumpkin carving with 500 pumpkins donated from the Home Depot in Rossford took place there on Saturday. But now they make for a very festive downtown scene.
There are carved pumpkins all around the Commodore Perry statue, around the sidewalks on Louisiana Avenue and all over.
I took some photos of some of my favorite Tuesday night - I think I was late with some rotting or collapsing. Comment if you or your child made one Saturday - or if I missed a good one.
This is just a classic scary pumpkin carving:
Check out the green pumpkin below with the crazy mouth, in front of the statue.
I was really impressed with a few pumpkins that had writing carved in, seems like you have to be very careful while carving not to mess up with these.
I've never seen the top of a pumpkin carved like this, creative and neat.
I love the BOO in the mouth of the pumpkin right next to the statue, cool.
Here's what my wife Sarah and I created. It is a minion from the movie Despicable Me.
I hope everyone in Perrysburg has a safe and fun Halloween Thursday. Hopefully it doesn't rain on the little trick-or-treaters.
