Blade hosting debate-watching party, other parties scheduled

I'll be watching the Presidential Debate tonight at PizzaPapalis in downtown Toledo and am inviting readers and other friends to join me.

Honestly, it seemed like an easy way to assemble willing subjects to be interviewed for debate reaction.

I'll be arriving about 8 p.m. and the debate starts at 9.

PizzaPapolis assistant general manager Jeff Kesselring was kind enough to agree to tune the TVs in the bar section to the debate. (P.S. everybody pays their own bar bill, obviously!).

The kitchen closes at 9 p.m. so arrive before then if you plan to order food.

There will be other debate-watching parties.

The Obama campaign is inviting supporters to President Obama's downtown Toledo headquarters, 119 N. Ontario Street, to be hosted by Toledo Councilman Joe McNamara. 

Republicans are meeting at the Romney Victory Center, 326 W. Dussel Dr., Maumee, as well as the Bowling Green Victory Center at 111 S. Main St., Bowling Green.
