Some would say the hit of the Republican National Convention in Tampa this week was Marco Rubio, others Mike Aruzione, Paul Ryan, or, of course, Clint Eastwood.
For my money it was the band, led by G. E. Smith. Here they are waiting for the 7 p.m. program to begin on Tuesday, the first night of the convention. Smith kept up a blues and rock-flavored track between speakers and sometimes just to break the monotony of the speaking. A lot of oldies covers - "Eight Days a Week," "My Girl," and "I Want You to Want Me" are three that come to mind.
