A date is set for the power struggle

Memorandum To: Newly Elected and Returning Members of the Republican State Central and Executive Committee of Ohio   From: Kevin DeWine, Chairman   Date: March 9, 2012    RE: Official notice for the April 13, 2012 meeting ______________________________________________________________________   The initial meeting of the newly elected Republican State Central and Executive Committee of Ohio will be at 10:00 am on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Creekside Conference & Events Center, 700 Creekside Plaza, Gahanna, OH.    In addition to swearing in all qualified members, we will elect our National Committeeman and Committeewoman, pursuant to Article IX, Section 1 of the Permanent Rules.    Article IX, Section 1 At one meeting designated by the Chairman and  held without interruption or recess during the year in which a Republican National Convention meets, not sooner than thirty (30) days after written notice of the time, location, and specified purpose of electing a National Committeeman and National Committeewoman, the Committee shall receive nominations for and shall elect a National Committeeman and a National Committeewoman.  Any member present may nominate a candidate for National Committeeman and a candidate for National Committeewoman.  A nominee need not be a member of the Committee We will also be appointing members to our standing and special committees; Committee on Committees, Audit Committee, Budget Oversight Committee, Fiscal Review Committee, Policy Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman Review Committee, Permanent Rules & Revision Committee, Endorsement Policy Review Committee, Political Programs Committee, and County Chairs Committee.  If you would like to be appointed to a committee or need more information, please let me know. We are only 242 days away from the election, and your attendance at this meeting is important for strategic and planning purposes.
