Van Buren State Park will host “Spiders: Appealling and Alluring, or Hairy and Scary?” on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 8:15 p.m. Meet at Shelterhouse No. 3 to view live spiders and learn about their important roles in the ecosystem. An evening hike to search for spiders follows, so bring a flashlight. The park is located at 2259 Twp. Road 218, a half mile east of I-75 at Exit 164. For info, call 419-832-7662.
