The Blade Outdoors Blog will be that pickup truck tailgate where we sit and talk after a long day out on the lake.
It will be that big, shady oak tree in the middle of the field where we lean back and scan the landscape around us, contemplating our next move.
It will be the picnic table where we share a few stories, and hopefully have the pictures to back them up.
The Blade Outdoors Blog will be the place we seek out when we need very specific information on hunting and fishing rules in Ohio, the cost of a deer license in Pennsylvania, or the size of the record smallmouth bass caught in Michigan. It will be that drawer under the tool bench where you don’t keep anything specific, but where you keep everything important.
It will be part photo album, fishing diary, new product showcase, how-to and where-to, list of experts, and who to call if you are madder than a hornet about some outdoors issue. This resource will come together over time, assembled from within but constructed in many ways by your input from across the outdoors spectrum.
Be patient, like waiting for the fog to clear and the sun to rise on an early morning duck hunt. We’ll assemble this blog the same way you build that cord of firewood out behind the barn – one log at a time – until you’ve got something very practical, and quite nice to look at.
The Blade Outdoors Blog season opens today.
